The SEA Change Community is a space for people invested in creating culture, policies, and practices that effectively serve all students and STEMM faculty in higher education. Community spaces and events serve as a point of connection for people across the STEMM enterprise as they navigate their role in advancing systemic transformation efforts.
Join Us!
Since our launch in 2021, our Community has grown to nearly 2,500 people of all career stages from academia, academic health centers, medical schools, professional societies, government agencies, industry, and beyond in STEMM.
Joining our Community is as simple as logging in to Port of Call using your AAAS ID. For step-by-step instructions on how to log in, head to the Port of Call page.
How We Connect
Quarterly Updates
Joining the SEA Change Community means you'll be opted-in to receiving our Community Updates emails. In these emails, we'll share upcoming Community events, Institute offerings, opportunities from across AAAS, and news from our Members and the broader STEMM ecosystem.
Community Groups
Joining the SEA Change Community provides access to our Community Groups on Port of Call. All Community members can engage in discussions, create polls and ask questions of others, and share resources. We also have a dedicated News channel where we spotlight work being done by SEA Change Members, timely news stories, or other opportunities of interest.
SEA Change Members have access to a private group to connect with and support each other as they pursue SEA Change Awards.
Community Conversations
Community Conversations are virtual discussions over Zoom with experts from across STEMM higher education. We select our conversation topics based on interest from SEA Change Members, discussions taking place in the Community groups, and current events.
Our Commitment to Each Other
In all facets of the SEA Change Community, we strive to create and maintain a safe, welcoming, and inclusive space. Participating in the SEA Change Community means your are committed to upholding the SEA Change Code of Conduct.
